Grants
Grants from PTEF
Each year, the Pike Township Educational Foundation offers thousands of dollars in grants to educators and others in Pike Township to finance innovative ideas for helping children learn. Grants can affect a single classroom, a school, multiple schools, or the whole district. Since 1993, the PTEF has distributed more than $660,000 in grants and classroom support thanks to our generous donors! To get feedback on possible grant ideas, fill out and submit our Grant Feedback Request form.
Traditional Grants
View information about traditional grants and grant-writing workshops. View grant deadlines. Sign up for grant-writing workshops and apply for grants online.
The PTEF provides feedback on grant ideas and pointers on writing your grant before you submit a full application (see below for more information). The easiest way to apply for grants is online, but educators may also submit a paper grant application.
Super Grants
The Pike Township Educational Foundation supports several district-wide programs through “super grants.” These are generally large-scale projects, often initiated by the school district. Some of the past programs that we have helped to support include:
- $5,000 for publishing a book for the Young Men of Purpose program.
- $30,000 for the Lemonade For All book and author visit for the elementary schools.
- Nearly $8,000 for D.R.U.M.
- $10,000 for the Scholastic Keys program and training.
- $6,380 for the Pacers Academy High School Science Mini Lab.
- $10,000 start-up funds for the C.L.A.S.S. Classroom Management Program to be implemented in all Pike Schools.
- $30,000 to assist district with purchase of ELLIS Software for all Pike Schools.
- $10,250 to fund the NWEA Achievement Level Testing pilot program.
The application process and requirements for super grants differs from our other grants. If you have an idea for a super grant or want more information about super grants, please contact the PTEF.
If you have an idea for a “big idea” that will help improve the educational experience for a large number of students we want to hear about it, even if you don’t want to implement the idea yourself!
